The late actress shared this information in a podcast episode that recently reappeared after it had been lost. Anne Heche had attempted to caution Portia de Rossi against dating Ellen DeGeneres.
The star of “Six Days Seven Nights,” Debra De Rossi, who passed away on Friday at the age of 53 after sustaining severe injuries when her car plowed into a house, revealed to her co-host, Heather Duffy, that de Rossi believed dating the former talk show host would make her a “poster child” for a gay relationship. De Rossi died as a result of the injuries she sustained in the accident.

Heche claimed that she had informed the actor from “Arrested Development” that their relationship would not be beneficial to the latter’s career.

Heche continued by comparing de Rossi, with whom she had previously co-starred on “Ally McBeal,” to a woman who could be compared to a luxury automobile.
“I discovered that Ellen drove a Porsche… and then she married one,” Heche recalled. “I thought it was cool.” “All she ever did was drive Porsches and collect them; I never understood why she did either of those things because the cars were so obnoxious,” you may say.
Between the years 1997 and 2000, the actor from “Volcano” dated DeGeneres, who is now 64 years old. She then said to Page Six that their relationship “canceled” her career in the entertainment industry.
She stated that for the past ten years, she had not participated in any studio pictures. “I was let go from a picture agreement worth $10 million, and I never appeared in a film produced by a studio again after that.”
