Artist Kris Floyd released a single Arcángel from his first album

The Puerto Rican artist Kris Floyd, one of the main rising figures of the urban genre, launched this Tuesday together with Arcángel the new single and music video for “Xkittlez” , which will be part of his first production, “La Ultima Vez Que Me Viste” , which will launch next Friday.

“It was a real pride for me to work with Arcángel, to witness his professionalism. He is one of the greatest influences, not only for me, but for my generation,” said Kris Floyd in a press release.

As the young artist admitted, when Arcángel started his musical career, he was a figure that “many kids” wanted to “imitate .

“I put a lot of hard on his job. And to get to this level in my career, to work with him, is to reaffirm that I am on the right track ,  said Kris Floyd.

The album “The Last Time You Saw Me” contains nine songs that reflect the musical maturity that has shaped Kris Floyd’s artistic career over the years, according to the press release.

This album will be released under the NEON16 / Interscope Records label.

“This album means the end of one stage and the beginning of another. It is my first project and I want people to know a little more about how I think on a more internal level. For me the opportunity to continue contributing art is very valuable, and continue expressing myself through music “ , he highlighted.

The music video for “Xkittlez” was directed by Tomas Stockton and was filmed in Miami, and shows the dynamics at a radio station where Arcángel is an announcer.

The album, which Kris Floyd as “very personal and very intimate” , narrates with the peculiarity that characterizes him experiences both in the love plane, as in other aspects of his personal and professional life.

For Kris Floyd, the album’s homonymous theme evokes nostalgia for the professional path traveled, which includes achievements such as composing for greats such as J Balvin, Selena Gómez, Yandel, Thalía, among others, and her commitment to maintaining the simplicity of her origins.

“It is referring to the fact that there are those who know that I have worked with all those people, and perhaps they think that one is going to change because of that. But rather it is explaining that I am still the same, of how I strive every day to continue growing professionally, but without leaving my true essence, my simplicity, “he explained.

Kris Floyd collaborated on “Bad Habits” , a song that is part of the album “The Kids That Grew Up On Reggaeton-Neon Tapes” , by award-winning producer Tainy.
