The singer Anitta, queen of pop in Brazil and one of the best-selling urban music performers in Latin America, released a video this Friday in which she appears posing for the wax statue with which she will be honored starting next year in Madame Tussauds in New York.

“I am so honored. I can’t wait to see my wax statue at Madame Tussauds in New York,” said the popular 28-year-old singer, who stands out on the list of the 15 most influential musicians on social media. Billboard, in a post on his Twitter account.

The artist, with millions of followers on networks such as Instagram, shared on Twitter a video and some images in which she appears posing for the photographs with which the mold of her wax statue will be produced.

The statue will be made in London, where Madame Tussauds is based, but will remain on display at the museum’s headquarters in New York starting next year.

Among other Brazilians who already have wax statues in Madame Tussauds, the soccer player Neymar stands out, with his figure exhibited at the Orlando headquarters, and the international model Alessandra Ambrósio, with hers in New York.

According to the advice of the singer, about 20 artists will work in London on the production of the statue, which should be ready in about six months, when it will be sent to New York.

The singer, who is currently recording a studio album with songs in Portuguese, Spanish and English, was nominated for Best Urban Music Album at this year’s Latin Grammy Awards for her latest production, “Kisses . 

This year her single “Girl From Rio” also allowed her to be among the most listened to on the US Top 40 Radio list in the United States. EFE
