The Mexican singer, composer, and actor Carlos Rivera will perform on August 20 at the Starlite music festival in Marbella (Málaga), in his first and only concert this year in Spain, as announced on Monday by the organization of the event, which confirms the return of the Colombian Sebastián Yatra.
Along with Rivera and Yatra, Canadian pianist and jazz performer Diana Krall and Spanish bailaora Sara Baras also join the Starlite 2022 lineup, who will perform on June 23, July 30, and August 16, respectively.
Rivera, whose vocal qualities have been praised by critics on more than one occasion -as highlighted by Starlite-, will offer his only performance of the season in the country next summer in Marbella.
It is, the organizers point out, an “exclusive opportunity” to see live who today is one of the most popular artists in Mexico and with the greatest international projection, whose musical career started after winning the reality show young talents from TV Azteca “La Academia”.
For his part, Yatra -considered one of the best Latin American artists of the moment, multi-platinum award-winning, and one of the hundred most listened to singers in the United States- returns to the Starlite where he has already passed on other occasions to perform some of his most acclaimed hits, such as “Ideal girl”, “TBT”, “Treacherous”, “There is no one else” or “Steal a kiss”, among which are his latest hits “Red heels” and “3 in the morning”.
Known as the lady of jazz, Diana Krall will share songs from her latest album “This dream of you”, an album classified as timeless in which she puts music to the most everyday moments, and will include some of the songs that have taken her to become one of the most recognized jazz vocalists, the point from Starlite.
Sara Baras -dancer, director, and choreographer- is one of the most prestigious and distinguished representatives of the performing arts and has performed more than 4,000 performances with her company all over the world, which makes her one of the most recognized ambassadors of the Spanish culture.
His latest show, “Alma”, will arrive at Starlite to show the essence of his roots and his extensive career on stage in the form of a new creation that combines flamenco and bolero through the music of today and always, they explain from the festival.
