Peacock will soon air the daytime drama “Days of Our Lives.”
Beginning September 12, the long-running soap opera that has been shown on NBC will move to the NBCUniversal-owned streaming platform. The programme has been broadcast on NBC since its inception in 1965.
At the moment, new episodes of the show are available on NBC every day, while older episodes can be found on Peacock. In September 2021, Peacock premiered the spinoff “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.” In July 2021, Peacock will air the second episode of the series. The Days of Our Lives spinoff film “A Very Salem Christmas” premiered on television in December 2021.
In addition, beginning September 12, “NBC News Daily” will debut across all NBC stations, taking over the time slots previously occupied by “Days of Our Lives.” The hour-long show is hosted by the NBC News team, which includes Kate Snow, Aaron Gilchrist, Vicky Nguyen, and Morgan Radford. It will also be broadcast live on both NBC News NOW and Peacock at the same time.

Because a large portion of the “Days of Our Lives” audience already watches the show digitally, this move allows us to expand the show’s loyal fanbase on streaming.
The NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives” has been renewed for 57 and 58 new seasons, respectively, beginning in 2021. The television series celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2020. It will air its 14,000th episode in December 2020, making it the longest-running series in NBC history. The Bradys, the Hortons, the Carvers, the DiMeras, and the Kiriakises are the central families in the fictional Midwest town of Salem.
Corday Productions Inc. and Sony Pictures Television work together on the production of “Days of our Lives.” Both Ken Corday and Albert Alarr are serving as executive producers on this project. The writing is overseen by author Ron Carlivati.
The most recent example of the trend is the recent transition of a long-running broadcast show to a streaming platform. ABC previously announced that “Dancing with the Stars” would move from the ABC broadcast network to the Disney+ streaming service. This means that the thirty-first season of the show will premiere on that streaming service in September. CBS has moved its shows “SEAL Team” and “Evil” to the streaming platform Paramount+ ahead of the start of their new seasons.
