Meghan Markle has made her first public remark in the United Kingdom since she gave up her royal title and moved to the Hollywood Hills more than two years ago.
On Monday, the Duchess of Sussex delivered the keynote address at the One Young World event, which brings together young activists “to come together to battle the toughest challenges affecting humanity.”

Markle played Rachel Zane in the American courtroom drama “Suits” from 2011 to 2018. The show lasted seven seasons in all.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made very few trips to the United Kingdom since they stood down as senior royals in 2020. They made an appearance during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, although they left before the festivities were officially over. They also made a brief cameo appearance at a Thanksgiving ceremony.
Their next trip will be to Germany for an event on Tuesday to mark down the days before the Invictus Games 2023. Harry is scheduled to give a speech at a philanthropic event in London on Thursday.
