Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith seen together since Oscar slap

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were spotted together in public for the first time since Will smacked Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars in response to Chris Rock’s joke about Jada. The incident took place in March.

Photographers caught the happy couple on Saturday in Malibu, near the celebrity hangout Nobu. They were seen walking hand in hand while Will waved to people on the sidelines.

The Oscar winner wore a black hat, a matching navy polo shirt, and navy slacks, and he finished off his look with a pair of brand new white Air Force Ones. In addition to her all-black ensemble, Jada wore sneakers, a plaid shirt wrapped around her waist, and delicate jewelry and sunglasses to complete her look.

Will makes an appearance several weeks after apologizing for slapping Rock during the ceremony as a result of a “G.I. Jane” joke the comic told about Jada, who suffers from the hair loss condition alopecia. The remark was made by Rock about Jada.
Smith can be heard saying in the video, “I reached out to Chris, and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, but when he is, he will reach out.” “I’d like to apologize to you, Chris, for what I said. My actions were inappropriate, and I’m available to talk about it whenever you’re ready.

Jada discussed the incident in June on an episode of “Red Table Hash,” which she hosts on Facebook Watch, and expressed her wish for “these two brilliant, capable men to have the opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile.”
“Given the current state of the world, we require both,” she continued. “And the truth is that we are all more reliant on one another than ever before. To pass the time until then, Will and I will keep doing what we’ve been doing for the past 28 years: working together to figure out what they call life. I appreciate your willingness to listen.
Rock, on the other hand, has only discussed the issue on stage during recent concerts. Rock made a comparison between Smith and Suge Knight, a former executive at Death Row Records known for his fiery temper, during one of these performances.

During a performance at Atlanta’s Fox Theater, Rock, 57, stated that “everyone is trying to be an f—ing victim.” “If everyone claims to be a victim, no one will listen to the actual victims if the situation continues in this manner. Even after Suge Smith punched me in the face, I went back to work the next day, and I have children.”

Rock went on to say, “Anyone who believes words hurt has never been hit in the face.”
