Davante Adams calls Aaron Rodgers the NFL’s best quarterback. He resembled Michael Jordan.

Davante Adams

Last month, newly acquired wide receiver Sammy Watkins heaped high praise on Aaron Rodgers, telling reporters that the famous quarterback is “on a whole different level” than Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is the star quarterback for the Chiefs. Now, Watkins’ famous predecessor, Davante Adams, is adding his voice to the praise that has been heaped onto Watkins. Even after meeting with his longtime friend Derek Carr in Las Vegas, the new pass catcher for the Raiders said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Pivot” podcast that Rodgers is still the finest signal-caller in the NFL and that his “Michael Jordan impact” powered Green Bay’s success.

Adams has spoken highly of his former colleague, claiming that “he is the best quarterback, in my opinion, to play this game.” “He had the Michael Jordan impact… (He’s) going to make you play better… just by being on the court.” “He had the Michael Jordan effect.”
After eight years as Rodgers’ primary target, Adams was sent to the Raiders over the offseason. He proceeded by recalling practices in which the Packers’ star quarterback was not present: “You would suddenly see that folks were beginning to (slide)… When Aaron was present, things were not the same as before.”

That’s not to say that Adams isn’t feeling creative in his silver and black ensemble, either. Ahead of the 2022 season, the receiver told the “Pivot” crew that Carr, his new quarterback, is “very” underestimated. This will be the receiver’s first season in the NFL playing for a team other than Green Bay. He singled out fellow pass catchers Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller as great threats to beat one-on-one coverage. He said this several times. And even though he declined to discuss his goals for his new team, it is very evident that he intends to surpass his accomplishments with the Packers while he is coaching in Vegas.
Adams stated, “I ain’t come here just to be cute and hang out with Derek.” (I ain’t come here just to be cute.) “At the end of the year, I want to be in the running for that trophy.”
