The English team, which is suffering from a goalkeeper hecatomb, has decided to hire the former Liverpool goalkeeper temporarily until January.
The club announced on Monday that former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has signed a contract with Newcastle temporarily to fill in for injured Nick Pope and replacement Karl Darlow. Karius will be responsible for making saves for the Magpies.
The German player, who is 29 years old and has been unattached since he left Liverpool in June, has signed a deal that will last for three months until January and includes an option to extend it to the end of the current season.

Eddie Howe, the coach of the Newcastle United soccer team, hailed the goalie as saying, “He is a very talented goalkeeper with experience at Premier League and European level and he will provide competition and support in this vital portion of the season.”
After his disastrous performance in the Champions League final in 2018, in which Liverpool lost to Real Madrid by a score of 3-1, Karius had fallen from his position as the number-one goalkeeper for Liverpool to that of an undesirable player.
In recent years, he had played for Besiktas and Union Berlin while on loan for other teams.
Since the beginning of the season, Newcastle has only one victory to their name and is currently ranked eleventh in the Premier League with seven points after playing in six league games.
