Rugby Championship: Australian Kurtley Beale back against the All Blacks

A few days after violent incidents in Nice, the prefecture of Corse-du-Sud announced that Nice fans will not be allowed to travel to Corsica on Sunday for the match between their team and AC Ajaccio counting for the 7th day of Ligue 1. The prefecture has specified, in a press release that was published on Friday evening, that by an order from the Ministry of the Interior, “Travel—whether individual or collective and by any means—for supporters of the OGC Nice will be prohibited between the Alpes-Maritimes and the island throughout the entire day on Sunday.

This precaution is being taken in particular because there have been several disturbances to public order as a direct result of the violent behavior of some supporters of both clubs “in recent times. During the Europa League Conference match between the Aiglons and FC Cologne on Thursday evening in Nice, there were very violent events between opposing supporters inside the stadium. These incidents also involved supporters from Paris and resulted in 32 people being injured. According to France 3 via Stella, on the island of Corsica, supporters of Ajaccio and Lorient got into confrontations at the airport shortly after the game between their respective teams on Sunday, September 4.
