Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Will include less Ellen Pompeo.

In addition to this, the actress is getting ready to play a brand new role on the big screen for the first time since 2005.

If she’d only revealed the information on a Post-It note.

Ellen Pompeo has decided to reduce the amount of time she spends in front of the camera after appearing on Grey’s Anatomy for the past 18 seasons. EW can confirm that the 52-year-old actress will appear in eight episodes of the upcoming 19th season of the ABC medical drama. Despite the fact that she will only appear on screen in a minor role, she will continue to work as an executive producer.

But there’s no need to be concerned because Pompeo already has another project lined up to keep her busy (and on your TV screen). She will star in a Hulu limited series about a couple who adopt an orphan whom they believe has a rare form of dwarfism; however, they later suspect that their new daughter isn’t the age she claims to be. Several publications have reported on this information.
The untitled orphan project is based on the true story of Kristine and Michael Barnett, an American couple who abandoned their adopted Ukrainian daughter Natalia on the grounds that she was an adult “sociopath.”

The show’s creator and writer, Katie Robbins, is responsible for all eight episodes, and Ellen Pompeo, who will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019, serves as an executive producer (The Affair). This will be Pompeo’s first major role in a film since the first episode of Grey’s Anatomy aired in 2005.

A new group of interns will be introduced in Grey’s Anatomy’s upcoming 19th season. Characters played by Harry Shum Jr., Alexis Floyd, Niko Terho, Midori Francis, and Adelaide Kane will be among them. Because the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital residency programme was cancelled in the season 18 finale, it is unclear how the characters will be incorporated into the narrative.

For a limited time, fans will be unable to access the following information: Season 19 is set to premiere on October 6th, and filming for the new season will begin this week.

When the show was renewed for a 19th season, Dana Walden, the chairman of Walt Disney Television’s entertainment department, praised its endurance.

In a statement, she called Grey’s Anatomy a “genuine phenomenon” beloved by viewers all over the world. Whether they watch it live on ABC, stream it on Hulu, or watch it internationally on Disney+ or Star+, it is clear that fans can’t get enough of Shonda Rhimes’ magnificent creation. “We have enormous faith in Shonda, Krista Vernoff, Ellen Pompeo, and the entire creative team to unlock new, untold stories that will continue to focus on modern medicine, tackle issues that shape the world around us, and resonate deeply with loyal fans for years to come,” Walden added.

Representatives from Hulu and the Department of State did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
