Kazakstan is the site of tennis star Carlos Alcaraz’s comeback.
Carlos Alcaraz, the most recent champion of the United States Open, will make his comeback to competition at the Astana Open, which will take place from October 3 to October 9.
After taking a few days off, the young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz will be the top player at the Astana Open in Kazakhstan the next week, a- he said on Wednesday. Alcaraz has been ranked No. 1 in the world since early September when he won the US Open.
Alcaraz, 19, then managed to take a few days off, he claimed during a conversation on Instagram with representatives from Babolat, its French equipment supplier. The week after the US Open, Alcaraz qualified with Spain for the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup.

Following the conclusion of the Astana Open, Alcaraz will make his way to Basel, the hometown of Roger Federer, who has just announced his retirement from the professional tennis circuit.
